Cross-dressing and privacy, a very risky issue

As per the bible, crossdressing is an ignominy:
Whatever the prevailing custom, men and women should wear gender-appropriate clothing, dressing decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40). To apply the principles, the Bible calls cross-dressing or transvestitism a choice that is a demonstration of unbelief and rebellion against God and His order.
The cultural path is set. Modern society is deeply conditioned against crossdressing.

Never mind that Ladies can (and often do) wear pants, shorts, even tux's without any negative consequences. While a man in a comfortable light summer dress is immediately singled. Just saying...

Risks of
  • Mockery
  • Abuse
  • Blackmailing
  • Job loss
  • Legal and family issues
are real and can durably impact one's life.

Logic doesn't make the cut. Some cultures can even gratify crossdressers with jail time.

Eventuality of a privacy breaching becomes a major issue, specifically in the early stages when “passing” in public is not yet an option.

All private documents and media (pictures, diary, bio,,,) should be treated with extreme care and protected at all times by suitable cryptography. Good news, such reliable and well documented systems abound on internet.
Blackhat spy watching data, privacy, identity theft, internet.

Social media is extremely tricky, specifically with the widespread of face recognition software relentlessly crawling for data.

Companies often recur to social media crawlers for HR management purposes shifting the discussion outside of any whatsoever comfort zone.

Smartphones can embed in pictures information such as GPS location, time/date, and even owner's personal data.

Video conferencing poses major threat for unwanted exposure. Information can be also harvested from apparently insignificant clues, such as a portion of automobile license plate, computer screen visible in the background, wall posters and notices, street names and numbers, visible equipment, background details and noises.

Computer viruses, backdoors, trojans do exist. Webcams and microphones can be remotely operated without owner's knowledge and should be covered, disconnected or put aside when suitable.

Hotel rooms are far from being safe. Although highly illegal in most countries and states, stealth (pin-hole, screw-head, smoke detector, alarm clock...) have been reported.

Although not being legally a crime in modern societies, recreational crossdressing evidences should be handled with extreme caution, including in exchanges with equally minded pen-pals.

No matter how pure, gentle, caring and loving your intentions are, for crooked minds, sky's the limit.
