But what about if there's that inner voice that no religious brainwashing can suppress?

Because, let me tell you, that's how religions and gurus perform.
Oh, I sure know one thing or three about them. Been involved in sect infiltration and "guru baiting" for quite a handful of years.

It all boils down to the same fundamental modus operandi: -Smash down to pulp then purge what you have and fill the empty space with what's best for their power and wealth. Then name the resulting massive confusion “spiritual ascension” and work hard to keep you in this zombie state.

Gurus are a pyramidal selling scheme, above a given guru, there's always an upper level one. If it works good for you, then it's OK, otherwise good luck with that.

But what if it quite doesn't ? What if that soft inner voice refuses to call it a day, keeps whispering things you can't understand or refuse to hear ? Becomes annoying ?

Fire up your agenda app, phone there, click here, voila. You've fixed an appointment with the nearest available psychopathist.

Be happy, you're bound to meet another guru not significantly different from the whole bunch of spiritual contractors.

Legend has it that these guys are giving it all to mend your soul, preserve morality and make this a better world (barf bag not included).

Feels better now, right ? Easier on the stomach, all went out.

It finally boils down to this: -Religions will convince you that transvestism is so bad that you will, in the best possible case, burn in hell, reincarnate as toilet brush or simply be stoned and/or beheaded to speed up the process.

Psychiatric (ahem...) science will attempt to cure you with whatever novelty they have at hand.

All of a sudden that soft inner voice became clearer, easier to understand. Time has come to listen to it. Resistance is futile.
